About co:worx

co:worx is an initiative of a voluntary committee called Edgeworthstown Enterprise Hub CLG.  In 2017 the vacant Ulster Bank Building on the Main St. of Edgeworthstown was purchased by Longford County Council.  A protected structure, the building is a landmark building on the Main Street and is a fine example of Queen Anne Architecture.

The building will been lovingly restored to keep these unique features of architecture which can be enjoyed for many years to come.  The building with its roots in the past will now become a gateway for the future.

Working closely with Longford County Council, the voluntary work carried out by the committee have pushed this concept further.  They have acknowledged the needs of the community and have expanded the plans even further to include a Community / Continuing Professional Developmental Centre with an adjoining green space.

co:worx  is being developed by for the local and remote community and will be a financially self sustaining enterprise for the benefit of all.

We want to give people the opportunity to live, to learn, to work, and contribute locally.  To find their balance in life. This space will be about you and for you.
